An ETC (Evacuated Tube Collector) is a type of Solar Water Heater System that is used to heat water by collecting energy from the Sun.  The system consists of a series of  borosilicate glass tubes sealed under vacuum for reducing heat loss, inherent in flat plates, to virtually zero.  Heat loss is due to convection which cannot cross a vacuum, and thus the vacuum creates an efficient isolation mechanism to keep heat inside the collector to heat the water.  The ETC absorbs solar radiation in the most efficient way available to heat water faster, and effectively even during cloudy days and colder regions.  This type of Solar Collector is by far the superior choice in clean and sustainable energy for hot water production.
